Tips on Buying Cars: buying a truck, blue book value, toyota tacoma

Hi Ray,

I am in the process of buying a used truck, I found a great looking truck. Its a 1996 Toyota Tacoma. My only issue is the milage on it 290,000. The owner says the only thing he would do to it is give it a oil change because the air filter was put on without a gasket. He also mentiond that the milage was mostly all freeway. He was originaly asking $3,700. and I talked him down to $2,600. He says that the truck still runs strong. I also looked up the blue book value and it was at $2,500. Is this a good buy?
