Pontiac Repair: Gm door window jumps track, buick regal, wits end

I have a 1995 buick regal. I replaced the window moter, but it keeps jumping track, I'm at my wits end.It has a gear type regulater.I am an ase certified master tech for 22 years now. this is my sister-in-laws car,and BOY does this make me look bad! Can the tracks be replaced? they are rivited to the door. Also can the guides be replaced? They seem to be part of the window.Thank you,abd if I can ever help you,please let me. oh yea,they hammered wooden blocks in the tracks to keep the window up, so you can imagine what shape they are in.

is this a 2 dor or 4 door regal? The 2 doors are more apt to jump the tracks. What shape was the regulator in no broken or bent teeth? Those used to have one of the arms bend on them so that would be worth replacing. The run channels are replaceable if you can still get them being that it' 14 years old now you never know. If this is a 4 door ther is a little channel in the back that's plastic I belive and they used to break and fall of the doors all the time. I would suggest replacing the run channels if this is as big a problem at you say it is.. I belive the run channel includes the weathersrip that goes all the way atound the window opening on these cars.. it's been a while since I had one apart.. Good luck :)
