Pontiac Repair: 2001 grand am 3.4 l, auto parts stores, wheel speed

My Abs lite and trac off and service vehicle lit keep coming on. Since this started happening the transmission shifts realy hard. Woundering what the possible problem could be, it has 130,000 miles.

well I don't know what the 2 have to do with each other. No Service engine soon lamp on? If you had a S.E.S lmap on the trac off lamp would come on a s well. the engine and anti lock computer work in conjunction to make the traction control work. Now to the ABS lamp if that's on that is wht the trac lamp is on. the most likely cause is a wheel speed sensor or a harness going to one of the sensors is bad. usually it's one of the front wheels on these cars. go to one of the "big box" auto parts stores they scan the car for codes for free and they can give you an idea of where to stsrt looking. with out knowin what code(s) are in this it's impossable to tell you what exactly is wrong with it causing the lamp to come on. good luck :)
