Pontiac Repair: brakes, wheel hub, wheel speed

Question
How do you remove the wheel cylinder on 96 Grand Am from between the wheel hub and brake spring bracket located above it as there does not seem to be enough room to just slide it out?

Answer
Hi Ricky:

Your right it's tight! in order to make it easier youy have to loosen the bolts that hold the hub and backing plate to the axle assembly and tip the bub out of the axle. that will give you enough room then to remove it. JUST BE CAREFUL not to damage the bub if this car has ABS. The wheel speed sensor is on the back of the hub to take care when you move the hub out of the axle. Good luck :)
