Can you tell me what type of engine I can get to replace a Quad 4 DOHC for a 1995 Pontiac Grand AM or if it is even possible to get a different engine to work for this car?

No nothing will cross over with that. It has to be that engine or nothing. That year was a strange one it was the first year for that engine configuration and in 1996 the engine changed again to an OBD II emission engine. So trying to find a 1995 specific engine will be hard to do. try this web site. www.wilbertsgmparts.com they have good "used" parts and they are on the east coast they may be able to track you down a engine.
