Pontiac Repair: 2000 grand am surges when accelarting, black tower, grand am se

Question
when driving my 2000 grand am se and trying to accelerate it surges and the rpm gage fluctuates but not all the time i have had the transmission flushed to see if that was the cause and most recently the electronic mileage gage started to go all funny so you can't read the numbers but that is random as well. i have most recently had all new fuel injecters put in and a new fuel pump.

Without actually being able to feel the miss and not knowing which engine you have I'll give you my opinion on either engine
If a 4 cyl... I would HIGHLY suspect the Coil housing. They are VERY common fault causing items.
If a 6 cyl, I would look at each coil tower for rust/corrosion. Replace any that are rusted or black tower.
IN EITHER CASE I would also recommend a major tune up, plugs, wires (or boots and  ignition springs if a 4 cyl).
