Pontiac Repair: pontiac grand am, key cylinder, pontiac grand am

Question
Hi I have a 2000 grand am that sometimes shuts off or all the dash lights flicker, but  starts perfectly. The a/c cuts off sometimes,along with the turn signals. Seen the security light came on but after playing with the key, it went away but still stalls occasionally. What can this be? Thanks George.

I would check ALL battery connections, making sure  they are all cleaned and properly tightened.
If this is done and problem still exists, I would suspect the ignition switch (Not the key cylinder) but the electrical part of the switch.
Not a very common problem, but when they go out, it does cause very similar problems as what you described.
