Pontiac Repair: outside temperature sensor, grand prix gtp, rear view mirror

Hi, My outside temperature display is not correct, could you please tell me where the sensor is located on my 1998 grand prix gtp 3.8 engine. is located at, and if you think this is the problem? Also my rear view mirror fell off, is there some secret to get the mounting pad off the rest of the mirror to glue it back on the windshield? I really can't see anyway it comes off from the mirror, any information would be greatly appreciated, Thanks and have a Great Day, Gay

Hi Gary:

the temp sensroe is located under the hood in front of the radiator/ it mounted to a piece of metal with on screw and it has 2 wires going to the sensor. I'r about 3" long an 1" wide it's a black plastic piece. As for the mirror ther is a kit you can buy at any parts store that will let you re glue the metal tab to the window so the mirror can be attached to the glass then. Good luck :)
