Pontiac Repair: 97 pontiac grand am, fuel level sensor, gas gauge

My 97 grand am, recently one morning i turned on the rear defrost and later that day i went somewhere and the light was still on, only to find out that now not only is the defrost light still on, the fan to the heater and ac wont come on now.. and a couple of weeks now my gas gauge is stuck on full above full actually. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Amy:

I thinbk you either have a cople of problems here or possably they could be the same root problem. You could have a bad ground wire or connection somewhere. Possably under the battery tray or even on the battery. that may be causing a bunch of issues. You could also have a bad fuel level sensor in the tank. As for the HVAC the control head could be bad or some kind of ground/power issue going to the control head.
