Pontiac Repair: 2000 Montana Passenger Cold/Driver Warm, Montana A/C

Question
I own a 2000 Pontiac Montana, and when I use the A/C, the drivers side vents blow cold A/C temperatures, but the center vent & drivers side vents blow warm air?? the system was just recharged & it didn't make a difference.  I assume the A/C system is working properly, due to the fact the passenger side is ice cold.  Can you help me??

Answer
Hi Scott:

I have seen this happen on Grand prix's not on a Montana. Essentially they are the same system in both cars. Either the system is not charged correctly. "I know you said you had it recharged" But it doesn't mean it was done correctly. or there is a restriction in the evaporator core where the refrigerant is not flowing through the whole core thus the difference in the temp from side to side. My guess is the system is not charged correctly though. Either from in incorrect charge put in the system or a leak in the system. These Vans are noted for 2 places for a leak.  The condenser in front of the radiator or the passenger side at the bottom of the condenser they rot out. Of if the van is equipped is rear a/c the lines rot out under the van. Good luck :)
