Pontiac Repair: Fan in 2002 firebird, control wires, pliers

I removed the radio to see how much room I had to replace it with an aftermarket. During this the control wires for the directional fan knob came loose. I have reconnected them but that knob does not work. I have also checked the fuses. Do you have any other ideas?

well you may have damaged the control head it's self if the knob fell off it may have damaged the switch inside the control head. those switches are not serviced seperate. They are part of the control head. Some of the cars you can get just the knob. The knob may have broken and when you turn the know your not turning the switch behind it. If it feels really loose that may be what happened try turning it with a small pair of pliers if it still doesn't work I would lean towards the switch being bad. Good luck :)
