Question
I have a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire 4d Sedan, 2.2L OHV, I removed a iLOCK ignition interlock, thinking it was my problem, yet after about 2 weeks since removal. I have he same problem again, I have power to everything, but when turn the key to start position I get no crank, radio and wipers go off, headlights stay on check all fuses, and wires everything is good.

Answer
Hey Robert:

That car had a recall for a no crank issue and other ignition switch issues. call a local gm dealer and geive them you VIN# and asl them to run the # and check to see if the recall has been done or not. You have to see if you have a "crank" signal voltage at the starter motor. when you crank the car you should have battery voltage on the purple wire at the starter motor. if no voltage you have to trace it back wards from the starter to see where you are loosing the crank siganl. it can be a bad ignition switch, park netutral switch. Good luck :}
