Hyundai Repair: Bulb replacement over license plate, electrical connector, safety check

Question
QUESTION: One of the lights over my license plate is out and I need to replace it before I
can do my safety check.  There are plenty of people ready to do this for me
for a fee but it seems like something I ought to be able to do myself.  I even
have the bulbs :)  (It is a 4 dr Accent 2004)

How do you access the old bulb to swap it out?  (Or should I just pay
someone $20 to do it for me? :)  Thanks, k. hartvigsen
ANSWER: Usually, these are accessible from inside the trunk lid.  If not, simply remove the screws from the lens and remove the lens.  Either way, it's not a difficult task; give it a try.

QUESTION: AH, but how do I pull it out from the the trunk access...that is what I was hoping
you'd know :)

Do you know if it is a screw in, push in etc.  I am worried about messing with the
plastic part too much and breaking it off.  (Thanks for your answer so far.  You
are great!) k. hartvigsen

Answer
Grab the electrical connector and twist counter-clockwise.  When the connector stops turning, gently pull out.  This should remove the socket from the lens, allowing you to switch the bulb.  Then insert and twist clockwise to install and lock in place.
