Pontiac Repair: Front Parking Lights Non Operational, turn signals, test light

1995 firebird 3.4 litre automatic. The amber lights in the front will not come on, all other lights work fine. The two rear red lights on the side are working. Headlights turn signals, brake lights, etc...all ok. Is there a seperate relay for the front park lights? I checked the bulbs, they are ok. No power coming to them.

Hi Sam:

No all the parking lights use the same power feed It's just split front to rear. My guess it you have a bad ground or a bad splice in the wiring. If you have a 12 volt test light check to see if you have power on the brown wire in the lamp socket that is the parking light power circuit. If not then trace it backwards untill you find the open in the circuit. if the light lights check the ground same thing on that connect the test light to battery voltage and probe the ground wire at the connector.
