Pontiac Repair: Window replacement, grand am se, grand am

Question
I have a 97 grand am SE.  I am trying to replace the rear drivers window.  I am having a hard time putting the window in the tracks and I was wondering if I needed to move the regulator and or motor out of the way.  If I do need to move those how do I?

Answer
Hi DeAnna:

I think you can replace the window by putting it in from the top tipping the wndow on an angle then once it's inside the window tracks you then straighten the glass out and it will stettel into it's position. move the window regulator down to the bottom of it's movement. plug the switch in and run the regulator all the way down to the bootom. Then wnen you get the window in you can position the track for the regultaor onto the glass. Hope that helps. Good luck :}
