Pontiac Repair: pontiac grand am, nefews, pontiac grand am

my nefews pontiac grand am had installed a new battery and his hazard lights are blinking and he can't get them to stop. he has tried to turn them off using the hasrd switch to no avail. is this tied to his security system? and if so how does he correct this problem.

Hi Tom:

If he has an aftermaket alarm system or a remote starter yes it is more than likely that. if you unplugged the hazzard switch in the center of the dash above the radio and they are still flashing that's the issue at hand an aftermarket alarm.
