Pontiac Repair: engine swap, sky lark, rear exhaust

Question
CAN I PUT A 92 GRAND AM ENGINE IN A 96 GRAND PRIX? WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS?

Answer
No I assume the engine you are taking out of a Grand Am is a 3300 V6. As for the engine in the grand prix that is bad it's a 3100 V6??? different block different every thing. You can use a 3100 V6 from any other car of that same year grand am/lumina/regal/cutlass/alero If you swap the engine out of a differnt body line meaning a gran am/alero/sky lark are all an "n" body car and put it into a "W" body car regal/lumina/century/grandprix/monte carlo you will have to swap the plumbing off your original engine and put it onto the doner engine The rear exhaust manifold and the heater pipes are different but the basic engine is the same.  Hope that helps you out without getting you to confused. good luck :}
