Pontiac Repair: heater core repplacement, heater core, happy holidays

hi i would like to know how to replace the heater core in a 1998 grand am , do i have to tak eout the entire dash?

Hi Paul:

No it comes out through the bottom of the dash the lower cover of the HVAC box comes apart and it all comes out the bottom. scroll through my past answers and I gave a person very detailed instruction on how to do this job it was from a couple of months ago but I'm pretty sure it's still on the site They don't purge the old answers for a while.
