Pontiac Repair: Pontiac Sunfire Ignition, pontiac sunfire, daytime running lights

I can't find a good source for a schematic for the ignition switch. I have a 95 Sunfire SE with a 2.2L, manual tranny, and when I turn the ignition key, nothing happens. I'm NOT saying "it doesn't start" or "it's not turning over" I AM saying, "Nothing, Happens." No daytime running lights, no dash lights, no diagnostic lights, no guages, no radio, nothing. It's as if I never turned the key. Interior lights and headlights, are able to be switched on and off without the ignition and they work fine. I turn the key and the rod going to the ignition switch moves, and I've even stuck a screw driver into a new ignition switch that I hooked up to the 2 connectors and manually turned it to the run position. Nothing Happens. Fuses are good of course. trying to find a schematic of the ignition switch to find out if I have a bad power/ground/something but can't find one. Any help with the problem, or the scematic is HUGELY appreciated, I live in New York and I'm freezing trying to work on this.

I'm not at work today and my on line service manuals unly go back to 98 and I bet it's different. You need more than likely 2 power feeds into that switch either red or orange wires and the out put from the switch with me like pink and Yellow which is the crank signal on all gm cars a. If you do not have power at the switch then you have to follow it back from the switch through the pass thu in the fire wall to the underhood fuse block on the left fender well. Make sure the BIG maxi fuses are good. also there may be 1 fuseable link on the starter motor it may be a grey wire withg the link on it. Make sure that's not blown/melted. that shouold steer you in teh right direction. Sorry I can't give you eaxact wire colors and pin locations in that switch I wish GM would back date there service information I can never find any of the older booxs anyways. good luck and stay warm :) I'm in NY as well "Buffalo" Yah I know the Bills suck and so do the Sabres this year............
