Pontiac Repair: 2005 Pontiac SV6 Door Lock Issues, pontiac sv6, automatic door locks

Question
While driving the vehicle our automatic door locks keep locking repeatedly, even if their already locked. How can this be repaired and what causes this?

Answer
Hi Ryan:

It can be a lor of things that van has a pretty complex electrical system. You could have a bad lock switch in one of the doors. you could have a key fob that the detent is weak in the fob allowing the lock button to be activated when it's jiggled like hitting a bump in the road. It could be an issue with the body control computer that it keeps locking the doors. These are just 3 things that pop into my head right away. It's probably not anything you are gonna be able to fix on your own. It's something for the dealer to look at. If this doesn;'t have a lot of miles on it it should still be under factory warranty being that it's an 05' van. Good luck :)
