Pontiac Repair: Water leak, pontiac bonneville, drain hoses

Question
Hello todd puccio, I currently own a 2003 pontiac bonneville v6 and i am currently having water leaks during heavy rains or a long car wash. The water leak is soaking the front driver floor and back driver floor. I was wondering if you know whats the problem?...

Answer
Hi Thai:

It's 1 of 2 things if the car has a sun roof then one of the drain hoses may have come apart or off the gutter on the sunroof. or the more likely cause is this the water deflectors behind the inside door panels has come loose allowing the water to leak into the car. you can check this really easy your self. open the car door and turn on a garden hose and run the water along the moulding where the glass meets the window this is the moulding under the glass where the window rolls down into the door. then take a look on the inside door panel if you see water leaking between the door panel and the dor it's self then you found you leak. You may want to try all 4 doors if one is leaking chances all 4 are. if so remov ethe inside door prim panels and re arrach the water barrier to the door with some duct tape That woorks good. Good luck :)
