Answer
Hey Joe:

This is a 3800 series II V6 engine. it could be a number of things. a restricted fuel filter or a fuel pump going bad. It could be a transmission torque converter clutch issue where it's slipping but not usually that much of an RPM jump and that noticable. It doesn;t have any kind of engine miss any other time? It could have a issue where you have lean fuel injectorts causing a lean misfire. It could be a sensor going bad like a MAP,TP or a MAF sensor. you can unplug either the MAP or MAF sensors and drive it with either one disconnected and see if it makes a difference. It will turn on the SES light thoiugh after unpluuging the sensor and driving it. That is just a few ideas. Without seeing it and the data on a scan tool it's heard to just say Yep it a ______ and problem solved. Good luck :)
