Pontiac Repair: 1997 sunfire please help, remote car starter, rewired

try and start only the anti theft light flashes and i end up having to wait for ten minutes to try again sometimes it starts sometimes i end up having to wait another ten minutes its been rewired behind ignition to computer in dash. what can i do

Hey normally:

You said it has been "rewired"? what do you mean??? normally if no one has tampered with the wiring on this car EG: remote car starter or any other thing the problem 9 out of 10 times is the ignition lock housing where the ignition lock cylinder is. There is a sensor in the housing that fails and thus the light comes on and no start. I would look at where it was "rewired" first and foremost. Good luck :)
