Pontiac Repair: brake lights in-op, turn signal switch, lamp bulbs

2003 pontaic grsnd prix. i recently canged the stop light switch. but my brake lights are still in-op. also would like to know what is the other switch located above the stop light switch

Hi
As long as the stop lamp switch is getting power, I would HIGHLY suspect the Turn signal switch.
The stop lamp bulbs power is directed from the switch THROUGH the turn signal switch.
It is a realitivly common problem.
The switch located on the brake pedal bracket ALONG with the stop lamp switch is the TCC Solonoid cut off switch.
It will cut off the TCC solonoid when the pedal is depressed.
