Pontiac Repair: Flasher cylinder replacement, metal spring clip, pontiac bonneville

Where is the flasher cylinder on a pontiac bonneville, 97".  I looked under the dash, but cant find it.  Please help..

That should be under the left side of the dash board on or near where the steering column is. It's a silver colored round element under that dash assembly. it may have either a yellow or a green paint band around the outside of it. It's usually attached to a black metal spring clip and that clip is attached to the dash is some way that is so you can hear it when it's on. make sure you put it back in the same position. There are 2 of them on that car 1 if for the hazard lamps and the other is for the $ way flashers they are usually near each other so turn on the 4 way flasher and look for it and the other one is around it somewhere. It may have been changed already at one time and not put back in the correct place. Happy hunting and good luck :)
