Pontiac Repair: AC,Heat, fans not blowing, blower motor resistor, pontiac grand prix

Question
I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE.  The AC, Heater, and fans for defrost are not blowing.  There is not a motor sound. When it started going out the AC would only work on high, it then went completely out.  I was told it might be the fuses.  When I had the fuses checked in the car they were okay (none were blown).  When looking at the fuses in the Fuse Relay Box in the engine I am unsure what I am looking at.  Also, I was told it might be a blown motor.  I need some assistance as to what to check first. Please advise as to what steps I would first need to check.  I would greatly appreciate any advise that you have.

Answer
Hi
It is MOST LIKELY the Blower motor resistor. It is located behind the blower motor, between the blower motor and the firewall.
It is fairly difficult to replace.
Check for power to the blower motor on any speed. If none, it is ALMOST surely the resistor.
If the motor is getting power, the motor is probabally faulty.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
