Pontiac Repair: engine miss on 1996 pontiac sunfire, piston valve, mechanical cause

i have engine miss on 2.2L 1996 pontiac sunfire.just at idle.changed plugs,wires,dont know what it would be.going to sell car dont want to spend to much.would it be coil or injectors.when it misses lights and everthing go dim.could it be alternator dont know help.

My advice would be to take it to either a repair facility that offers free Diagnostic scans (Meineke, Midas, Pepboys..) or parts store (AutoZone, Advanced, NAPA etc...)
Have it scanned and find out EXACTLY which cylinder(s) are misfiring. From that point you'll be able to diagnose either fire, fuel or mechanical cause for misfire.
Could be a coil, injector, Ignition module, any related wiring or mechanical (piston, valve train etc...)
