Pontiac Repair: 99 Bonneville dies with no warning, fuel pressure guage, crankshaft position sensor

Question
I have a 99 Bonneville with the 3800 and have been having trouble with the vehicle dying under normal driving conditions.  Wet or dry, speed or idle, makes no difference. It will always start immediately after this happens.  This car runs perfect other than this and I get no service engine light.  Appreciate any help you can offer.  Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi
I would suspect the Crankshaft position sensor.
That being said, I would attempt to find out what is being "lost" to cause your stalling.
Fuel or fire. As usual, I always say a good tune up NEVER hurts, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, air filter. Check the coil towers when removing plug wires.
You could hook a fuel pressure guage to the system and drive it see if fuel pressure is lost when stalling occurs.
If not a scan tool would be needed with snapshot ability, and see if a snapshot of data could be taken at stall.
Hard to diagnose, but it will be worth it if problem is solved.
I hope this helps.
Good luck
