recently the car stop running while traveling at 65 mhp,then again 3 times at slower speeds ,it would restart and run fine .last time it stopped it would not start again.it starts few just a second then dies,then sometimes when it's cranked over it seems a little fast ,how do i test to see if the timing belt has slipped or the coil pack is bad?

OK you need to get a timing light to check the timing on the car. If that shows good, then your timing is fine. You coil pack will be fine too. Now if it doesn't light at all when using it, the coil pack is bad.

Now there is also a possibility that the throttle position indicator.

Since I don't know what engine you have you would need to locate this. The simple test is to just disconnect it. It won't let the engine rev properly but it will start.
