Pontiac Repair: loud knocking sound, pontiac fiero gt, port fuel injection

my enginge in my fiero has a loud knocking sound. it has 169000 miles on it.do u
have any suggestion on what it could be
my car is a 1985 pontiac fiero gt 2.8L V6 multi port fuel injection

Hi
Really as much as I'd like to help diagnose your knock, it is RAELLY hard to diagnose noises.
If it is a deep, "throaty" knock, it is most likely crankshaft related.
If it is more of a tapping or ticking, it may be valve train related (cam, lifters etc...)
Best advice is to take it to a mechanic or repair shop YOUR familiar with and have them diagnose noise properly.
