Pontiac Repair: Do I need new breaks or Rotors (or Both)?, life time guarantee, break pads

Question
I have a 1999 Ponitac Grand AM, 4 door, 2.4l Auto. One summer my coil spring snapped so I had to park my car for a few months before I could afford to get it towed and fixed. After it was fixed, I drove it and everytime I break my whole car shudders. I just had Life time guarantee Break pads put on it, so all I can think of is rotors?

Answer
Hi
Sounds EXACTLY like warped rotors.
I would take it somewhere and have them checked for proper thickness, and if they OK, have them machined.
You MAY have a possibility that you MAY have to replace rotors, if they are below the Minimum Thickness for that vehicle.
Hope this helps
JUST advice from experience.
