Pontiac Repair: air conditioner, pontiac grand prix, fuse box

QUESTION: I have a 2000 Pontiac grand prix 3600 v6 the air compressor don't engage and blows out hot air  i charged the system but its still the same. Is there any fuse or anything like that, that can make the compressor not work if so where is it located.  thanks mike

ANSWER: fuse and relay in the fuse box, there is a low presure cut off sitch thast may be bad jump across it and check and see if it kicks in

well the low presure switch is usally located some where on the lagre (low presure side ) of the a/c compressor , it will ahve a two wire plug simply take a small wire and connect the two wires makeing a circut on that plug
if it comes on the swutch is either bad or you have low freon
