Question
I have a 1994 pontiac grand am 4 CL 2.3. it does not start, and I am pretty sure the starter is fried. can you instruct me how to remove and instal the starter in the vehicle.

thank you

Answer
Hi
Disconnect battery ground cable.
Remove air induction tube as necessary.
Disconnect coolant fan connector and remove coolant fan.
Remove oil filter and intake manifold brace.
Remove starter bolts and pull starter motor towards passenger side of vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connections and remove starter by lifting out between intake manifold and radiator.
Reverse procedure to install.
This is the EXACT procedure listed for your vehicle.
It will come out, but make sure you remove oil filter.
It'll make it ALOT easier.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck
