Pontiac Repair: 2004 Grand Am..Cruise Control Switch, seriel number, steering wheel

My cruise control is on the steering wheel, can I put a new switch on witout taking the steering wheel apart. The plastic cover that covers the buttons came off, but I have to buy the whole switch, they don't sell just the cover.

you should be able to buy the switch ass by itself and replace it yes call the dealer and give them your vin (seriel number of the car) and check and see if your cars package has a replacemtn switch to off and you should be able to without removing the wheel
