Pontiac Repair: Tail light seals, light assemblies, autoparts store

Question
I have water leaking into my trunk from the tail light areas.  What do I need to check and do?  Pontiac does not sell the seals, etc. only the entire tail light assemblies which I don't feel is necessary to replace.

Answer
ok well what d o here at the shop is put someone in the trunk with a flash light and then water test the outside to ensure where the leak is first , you do it how ever you want , if it is the seals leaking makie sure the metal is up against the sealing edge and it hasnt been bent or rusted . if you need to seal them up you can go to the autoparts store and get a roll of 1/2 inch roll butenol tape, its the windsheild sealinmg tape, remove tailight and put a roll of it on the ceiling area of the light and slowlow tightn the pight back into the car making sure to let the seal squish slowly  thats should cure your leak!!
