Pontiac Repair: Grand Am electrical question, fuse box, pontiac grand am

Question
My 2004 Pontiac Grand Am starts great, however, the instrument panel gauges (gas, tach, mileage) don't show up.  The radio, a/c fan doesn't turn on either and to vent further frustration, the power windows aren't working.  I've checked some of the fuses out and they appear to be okay. i'd appreciate any input and information to correct the problem

Answer
Hi
The only item I see in common with all the systems failing is the Ignition switch or the left Instrument Panel Fuse box.
I would see though, if your getting power to the Drivers side window switch on the Brown wire. It should be hot in run(hot while the engine is running).
Make sure the IPC/HVAC/BATT fuse is hot at all times. It is located in the LEFT (drivers side) Instrument Panel Fuse box. Make sure all the wires going into the box are plugged in good. Wiggle them.
I would do these things. If the problem persists, I would suspect the Ignition Electrical switch.
I have seen on these cars, if the drivers side window was opened during a rain, water can get into the fuse box on that drivers side and create numerous electrical "ghost" problems. Not saying this happened, just I have seen  this.
If in doubt, please do not hesitate to take it to a repair facility your familiar with.
Just advise from experience.
I Hope this helps.
If I can help in any other way, please follow up.
Good Luck
Paul
