Pontiac Repair: 1996 Pontiac Sunfire overheating, pontiac sunfire, radiator shops

Question
I have installed a new water pump after she broke down by overheating. After installing the water pump her temp. is still rising and I can hear her bubbling. What else could be wrong?

Answer
i would recommend changing the thermostat.then make sure that the cooling fans are operating and kicking on when they are suppose to.usually around 200 degrees or a little higher but not much.if she still gets hot you may have a bad head gasket or even a cracked head.<but i would try everything else before assuming this.>your radiator may need to be rotted out.this causes poor cooling through the radiator.radiator shops usually do this cheap if you do the removal and install labor.sometimes a good cooling system flush helps.
