Pontiac Repair: Electrical, wrecking yards, repair manual

Rain got in the driver side window and now the controls for all the power windows located on the armrest don't work on my 2003 Bonneville. Can you tell me where to start troubleshooting for a fix?  My son says I need to replace the Driver Side AS Module.   It costs about $170.  If that doesn't fix the problem, what would you recommend for a do it yourself fix?

well i hate to say but replacement is the best option.you can remove the door panel and try to clean the terminals and see if that helps.you might call a few wrecking yards for a little cheaper deal.getting a repair manual will help you locate all the connections.
