Pontiac Repair: a/c compressor 1994 firebird 3.4, clutch assembly, removal tool

how long does it take to r&r the a/c compressor on my daughters 1994 firebird- it has a 3.4 engine- thankyou for your help! The compressor is making alot of noise.

if the compressor is making noise i would try oil charging the system</adding freon oil mixture/>to see if that helps.if not changing compressors is not bad but a special tool is needed to remove the clutch assembly unless you get a new comp. with clutch.this usually costs a bit more and the removal tool is fairly cheap.some autoparts stores will even loan you the tool for free.
