Pontiac Repair: Water pump drive 1993 GA 2.3L SOHC, drive sprocket, gm parts

Well here we go.. I replaced a bad water pump (Barring was shot) on my 1993 GA 2.3L SOHC and when I got it all back together it still sounded like I had a bad barring. So' back apart this time removing the timming cover and pump. I also removed the timmimg chain from the water pump drive sprocket and there it was..Another bad barring on the drive sprocket......This is where I get lost....I cannot find any info on how to remove and replace the water pump drive barring....I have removed split ring from the spline side but cant get it to budge. Please help

The water pump drive is pressed into the engine ft cover,usually in order to replace it the cover needs to be replaced,i checked with GM parts and the drive is availible seperate so that means it is servicable,you may need to put some muscle into it and press it out,or just purchase a new cover.
