Pontiac Repair: Oil pressure reading+ brake noise, oil pressure gauge, pontiac bonneville

Question
Hi Wayne,
I recently bought a Pontiac Bonneville '92. I just installed a '92 engine which is running great. I noticed the oil pressure gauge never fluctuates and remains at the highest pressure reading. Is this normal? I'm only asking because my previous car's guage use to fluctuate throughout the driving range. My second question has to do with a deep grinding noise I get when applying the brakes (the car has abs). It's not the normal squeel you get from some brake pads. This noise seems to continue after the car has fully stopped. This is not a recurring problem. Brake application feels normal otherwise. The brakes have been bled recently. Pads and hoses have been replaced. Appreciate your help.

Answer
Hi, on the oil pressure it should not run that hight all the time, I would check the pressure with a pressure gauge, this will tell you if the sending unit is bad or the gauge on the dash, When you changed the engine did you pull the transmission? If you did check the driveaxles, one of them is not all the way in, If you didnt pull the transmission, the have the ABS pump checked.
