Pontiac Repair: ignition module - 95 with the 3.8 engine, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor

Followup Question -
Wayne, My car is parked in the garage every night.  Sometimes after driving the car for a few miles in the morning, and then trying to start it, it will turn over, but it will not even attempt to start.  There are no check engine lights and it runs fine.  I can wait a few hours - maybe more and it will start just fine.  It has been getting worse (several times a week).  There is nothing else wrong that I know of.

Well, I had the ignition module checked twice and it was OK.  A mechanic at the store suggested it was the cam sensor.  Since it runs good and usually starts good, he thought it could only be the cam sensor or a cracked wire somewhere.  Now what do you think?  (It will cost about $70 to replace it.)

Answer
Hi, if the camshaft sensor is malfunction, resulting in the engine stumble or misfire, it would set a code. The crankshaft sensor will do the same as the camshaft sensor.
The next time it will not start check and see if you are getting fire at the plugs. if there is no fire, then I think it's the module.
