Pontiac Repair: car will not start, oxygen sensor, fuel rail

at first the problem started when i ran out of gas.. the idol and transmission started acting funny...then it began to not start... we have cleaned out the air filter, the fuel rail and injectors....we also installed a nex oxygen sensor, now the car will not even start...we also have tried dry gas       hopefully you can help... thanks

Hi, need to check and see if the fuel pump is coming on.
When you turn the key on you should hear a whirring sound coming from the fuel tank. If you don't hear the whirring check the fuel pump fuse, if the fuse is good, then pump is bad. If the fuel pump is ok, then check for spark at the plugs, if there is no spark then it could be the ignition module, If there is spark at the plugs, this could be in the ECM. When checking fuses check them all make sure there is no bad fuses.
What was the problem with the transmission and idol?
