Pontiac Repair: 96 Grand Am Electrical problem, fuse box, turn signals

Question
I have a 96 Grand AM SE 4-door with 112K miles. I have an electrical problem. It started with the dome and interior lights staying on when the doors are shut. They stay on all the time and have drained my battery to the point of having to replace it. 2. I cannot use my turn signals and brakes at the same time without popping a fuse. 3. I had to pull the fuse for the interior lights to prevent draining my new battery. When I pull the fuse for the interior lights, my radio, and defroster go out. Also the ABS and BRAKE lights come on. Is there a crossing point or are they on a common ground that I can check? Your help would be greatly apreciated.

Answer
Hi, these are common grounds. On the interior light, this could be the switch on the door may not be cutting the light off. or the dome light switch could have short and cause this. Check the wires at the junction box this is where the wires come from under the hood and go to the inside to the fuse box. could have a short there.
