Chevrolet Repair: 1991 Cavalier Axel repair, brake rotor, unseen damage

Question
I broke the right front axel and lower ball joint on my 1991 cavalier. What parts will i need to repair this and what do you think the estimated parts and labor will cost

Answer
Hello Danny,
You can get rebuilt axle shafts at most large parts stores.
Ball joints also, but depending on how this stuff broke, there may be some unseen damage, like alignment, steering, etc. If you hit a curb, there could be a bent wheel, brake rotor damabe, control arm bent, spindle damage, etc.

If all you need is the axle and ball joint, a couple hundred in parts, and another couple hundred to have them installed, plus an alignment, so a widl guess of 500 or less, but that is just a wild guess.
