Pontiac Repair: its about the injector question..., fuel pressure gauge, fuel pressure regulator

its about the injector question I now get gas but to much it just pores what could that be.

Randy it could be the fuel pressure regulator. to check it you need a fuel pressure gauge. you connect this to the schhrader valve on the fuel rail.the pressure should be around 41 to 47 psi with the key switch no. start the engine the pressure should drop 3 to 10 psi. with the engine running. detach the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator the pressure should immediately increass 3 to 10 psi. if the pressure dosen't rise when the hose is disconnected the regulator is faulty.
