1992 Pontiac Sunbird, 3.1L V6
Cannot get the auxilliary cooling fan to come on.  We have replaced the fan motor and relay but it still does not run.  The AC blows cold while driving, but turns to hot air while idling.  Most likely because no air is blowing past the condensor.  Is there a fuse link or other relay/fuse that we are missing?  Could the temperature sending unit have anything to do with this?  Dont know what else to look for to get the fan to run.  Thanks

First I need a little more info.
Do you have one or two fans? If you have two, does the other one run?
Does the fan turn on when the engine temp is high enough or does it overheat?
Follow-up
There is only one fan.  The fan will not come on when the temerature rises.  The car will overheat instead.  We have replaced the thermostat also, but it did not help.

Answer
Go back to the fan relay. Turn the key on and unplug the relay. You should have 2 hot wires going to the relay. There should also be 1 ground all the time and another ground when either the temp is high enough or when the AC is turned on. Check these power and grounds at the relay and if you need more help let me know.
