Pontiac Repair: ignition system-no spark, original cars, 8l

1992/1993 buick lesabres,2.8L v-6.started my 1992 lesabre,ran for 20 seconds, then died. checked for spark and found none present. put coil packs(and ignition module? if thats what they're sitting on) from my 1993 lesabre on and tried to start. no luck and still no spark. put coil packs from the 92 onto the 93. it started, ran for 20 seconds, then died. switched both back to original cars-now i have 2 dead cars. must've fried something.? checked fuses, all seem to be ok. please help !

They did not put a 2.8 in the lesabre. It is probably a 3.8.
The coils are the same on both cars but I dont know if the modules are interchangeable. You might of had a bad module on the 92, and when you put it on the 93, it may have took out the computer.
