Pontiac Repair: fuel related problems, coolant temp, code states

1984 PONTIAC 2000 WAGON 1.8 LITER ENG. 4 CYL
TOO MUCH FUEL BEING DUMPED IN FUEL INJECTOR. CAR WILL FLOOD OUT IDLING. CAN GO 35 MPH WITHOUT TOUCHING GAS PEDAL AT TIMES. ENG CODE STATES BURNING RICH BAD O2 SENSOR. THIS HAS BEEN CHANGED ALONG WITH FUEL INJECTOR. OTHER PARTS OF FUEL SYSTEM HAVE BEEN CLEANED. HAD FATHER IN LAW DO THIS DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS MYSELF. HE DOES AND IS STUMPED OTHER THAN COMPUTER PROBLEM. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS.

I,m guessing that the code was 45(system rich). The 02 sensor would not cause this code to set. Check the coolant temp sensor. It may be reading cold and causing it to run rich. It also could be the computer(ECM) causing it to run rich. You need to use a scanner to read everything that the ECM is seeing and doing.
