Pontiac Repair: changing waterpump, quad 4 engine, pontiac grand am

I have a 94 pontiac grand am with a quad 4 engine.  I have to change the waterpump and after i"ve looked to see where it is and could you give me some advice about locating, removing and replacing the waterpump.  Ofcource any tip and tricks would be helpful.

If you cant even find the water pump, how do you know that it is bad????
94 was a change over year so on the early models the pump can be replaced fairly easy. It is on the rear side of the engine(near firewall). It is mounted to the backside of the timing chain housing with 3 nuts. You also need to remove the water pipe and housing.
On the later models, it is located in the same place but you need to remove the timing chain to replace the pump. I do not recomend that you try this one yourself. You can cause major engine damage if you dont know what you are doing!
